The Ultimate Guide to Wonder Woman
After seeing Wonder Woman 3 times, I had to get this Collector's Guide. There are plenty of pictures from scenes in the film. I was made more aware of the plot and the sequence of events. Of course, Wonder Woman is set during World War I. We go behind the scenes to become acquainted with director Patty Jenkins. Jenkins shares her vision of what she wanted Wonder Woman to be, an attractive Amazon who can fight. And Gal Gadot makes a fine Wonder Woman. When the film was done, Gadot had an identity crisis. She said she did not know if she was herself or Diana. This guide gives character studies of Hippolyta, Steve Trevor, Ludendorff and Doctor Poison. There is no mention of Sir Patrick, who was really the Greek god Ares. A section called "The Threads" discusses the costumes of the main characters. Finally, there is an interview with Lynda Carter, TV's Wonder Woman in the 1970s.
