There may come a time when I need another truck. Trucks are bigger now, and I do not like them. I like small trucks because they are easy to maneuver in traffic. I would like something like the 1997 Nissan. I am not putting miles on like I did when I went to Louisville every month. Nor am I driving around Nashville. I have to be conservative. When buying a truck, there is paperwork: title, registration, license plate sticker, insurance, AAA, etc. I have thought about a used truck, then I think no one parts with a vehicle if there is nothing wrong. I will drive the Nissan Frontier as long possible. When the time comes. I may go to CARMAX or to a place in Franklin. I need to look at pickups and be aware of what is out there. I have thought about Toyota Tacomas and Ford Rangers. Trump wants us to buy American, but I need to get the best deal. The sales people try to get the prices as high as they can. I do not even look at stickers. I like to pay cash rather than having a monthly payment. I need to stop wasting money, I keep track of miles and keep them down. Michael said red trucks attract the police.
SERVICE ENGINE SOON.. ANTI-FREEZE IN RADIATOR.. New FIRESTONE
I went to the new Firestone @ 2529 Franklin Rd. I drove up Wedgewood and turned right at BP onto 8th. A mile or so, and Firestone is on the right behind Sonic. The "service engine soon" light had come on, and I assumed it was the oxygen sensor. But apparently the light came on because there was no anti-freeze in the radiator. I can't believe I let this happen. I MUST check the radiator regularly. Repeat: I MUST CHECK THE RADIATOR REGULARLY. A lady named Melissa came to my truck. She used a tool to make the light go off. She said the light can come on for a number of reasons. She remembered me from the Firestone on Broadway.
I drove to Walmart down 65 South. I turned onto Armory Dr. and Powell Av. I bought some Prestone 50/50 Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolent in the yellow container. I filled the radiator while in the parking lot. I repeat again: CHECK THE RADIATOR OFTEN. All lights on the dash were off. I told Melissa I would call her Monday to confirm that my truck was running okay. I live in fear of that "service engine soon" light coming on. This time, the light meant THE ENGINE OVERHEATED because there was no anti-freeze. It made me wonder if this was the problem I had before and I was ripped-off. I do not trust people in this town.
Keep checking the radiator. Keep antifreeze in the radiator.
